I’ve been a terrible blogger….
Forgive me? A bit late on this one.

It’s campfire time, so I’ve finally snagged a moment to throw some words on this page. This trip has been amazing and Bryce Canyon National Park has definitely added to the general splendor. Are we even on planet Earth anymore? I have my doubts!
Rising hundreds of feet from below the floor of the consecutive amphitheaters (not actual canyons), spiraling Hoodoos, or “Legend People,” burn like stone torches and shift their colors with the curving path of the sun. The canyon rim separates Bryce from scrubby brush and dry trees, and the difference a stone’s throw makes is astonishing!
We began our hike at Sunset Point and curved down into the canyon, stopping every half a second to take a photo. Cassie and I are both obsessed with photography, but anything we captured paled in comparison to the sheer defiance of nature’s creative force. The elements Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water have formed this place and continue their beautiful work all day, everyday. Every time I dared to look upon this mysterious and eerie windswept vista, I couldn’t help but feel wonderfully insignificant. I am so grateful for the reminder.
If you haven’t been to this spectacular destination, go IMMEDIATELY! The red and gold spires will change your life. And the dirt will make you look like an oompa loompa. Cheers!
